Cupra Raval drives record EV sales and European expansion

Overview

SEAT’s performance brand CUPRA continued its strong momentum in the first half of 2026, delivering a record 170,100 vehicles – a 7.2% year-on-year rise and the strongest half-year in group history. This performance included an operating profit of €122 million, an increase of €84 million over the previous year. The launch of the CUPRA Raval model significantly boosted results, lifting EV orders by 85% in Q2 and helping overall sales grow 18.5% in the quarter.

The Raval, a sport-styled electric hatchback, offers battery options of 37 kWh and 52 kWh with a range of up to 450 km and power outputs between 116 hp and 226 hp. Following its debut, the model became officially orderable in the Netherlands and Belgium in August 2026 and can be configured online for Italy. In Italy, the Raval Edge Plus starts at a promotional €31,950 (full price €38,120) and features a 155 kW (211 hp) motor, bi-zone climate control, Vehicle-to-Load capability, and a plasma-changing paint finish. Two VZ-exclusive trims – Century and Manganese – add 226 hp, Matrix LED headlights, and advanced driver-assist packages.

Automotive reviews have highlighted the Raval for its “precise steering and charismatic appearance,” noting its design-focused positioning despite sharing technical components with the Volkswagen ID Polo and Skoda Epiq. The company targets exports to roughly 70 markets, with a planned Middle-East entry in 2027. Additionally, Porsche Holding Chile reported 15.5% growth in 2025, noting Cupra’s contribution to brand competitiveness in the premium segment.
