Curve Finance expands liquidity system to Stellar network

Curve Finance has launched its StableSwap system on the Stellar mainnet, marking its first native deployment outside of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) ecosystem. This implementation provides permissionless pool creation, discovery, swaps, and liquidity provision for compatible assets.

The StableSwap design is specifically optimized for assets trading near similar values, such as dollar-pegged stablecoins, to reduce slippage compared to general-purpose liquidity pools. The Stellar Development Foundation noted that the system was built directly for Stellar’s smart-contract environment rather than through an Ethereum-compatible layer.

In a related context, the USDC-RLUSD pool on Curve offers a 7.72% APY on $67 million in total value locked. RLUSD, issued by Standard Custody and Trust Company (a Ripple Labs subsidiary), maintains a reserve ratio of 1.049:1 as of October 2026, with BNY Mellon serving as the primary custodian.
