Curve Finance StableSwap deployment on Stellar
Overview
Curve Finance has launched its StableSwap exchange on the Stellar mainnet. This deployment represents the protocol’s first native implementation outside of the Ethereum Virtual Machine ecosystem. Developed in collaboration with the Stellar Development Foundation, the system utilized Stellar’s smart contract platform, Soroban, which required a complete rewrite of the StableSwap mechanism.
The platform allows users to swap assets, browse existing pools, and provide liquidity through permissionless pool creation. The system is optimized for low-slippage trading of assets with correlated prices, such as wrapped Bitcoin or stablecoins pegged to the same currency. Following this launch, Curve plans to introduce FXSwap to the network once audits are finished to support cross-currency asset trading.
