Cuttack Durga Puja to feature first-ever live stream and enhanced security

Durga Puja Cuttack Bhubaneswar live streaming Odisha festivals

The Cuttack district administration has announced that the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations will be live-streamed for the first time. This digital initiative aims to allow elderly devotees and those living outside Odisha to participate virtually in the festivities, including major pandal displays, religious ceremonies, and immersion processions.

Cuttack Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde noted that the plan follows the successful live telecasts of Rath Yatra and Bali Jatra. The Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department will facilitate the broadcast via its official YouTube channel and the district administration’s website.

In preparation for the festival, which runs from October 16 to October 21, the Bhubaneswar–Cuttack Commissionerate Police has implemented a comprehensive security and traffic management plan. Chaired by Commissioner of Police Dr S Dev Datta Singh, the plan includes round-the-clock control rooms, dedicated security for specific sites, and the deployment of hundreds of officers and specialized units to manage crowds and processions.
