CV-36 bridge closure near Chiva and Torrent for repairs

The CV-36 highway in Spain is undergoing temporary closures at the metal bridge connecting to the A-7/E-15 between Chiva and Torrent. Starting September 29, the Generalitat has initiated repair and maintenance work on the structure, which is expected to last up to three weeks.

The intervention focuses on kilometer point 12+220, where workers will repair metal joints degraded by time to improve structural resistance against extreme weather. This work follows significant damage caused by the 2024 DANA weather event, for which the Generalitat previously allocated 15.7 million euros for recovery.

To maintain traffic flow, alternative routes have been established via service roads and parallel highways. While the bridge connection is closed, the rest of the CV-36 remains operational.
