Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 premieres on Netflix

The second season of the anime series ‘Cyberpunk: Edgerunners’ has premiered on Netflix. A collaboration between CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger, the ten-episode continuation returns to the dystopian setting of Night City.

Directed by Kai Ikarashi, the new season shifts away from the narrative style of the first season. Instead of a single tragic arc, the story follows four different voices, centered on a character named Roman Carax, a young cinephile navigating the capitalist and technological dystopia of the series' universe.

The production also features a notable inclusion of Polish hip-hop. The track ‘Serce’ by the independent duo LSO (Liryka Składu Ostródzkiego) is featured during a key moment in the third episode, following the series' precedent of using Polish music in its first season.
