Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 to feature multi-character narrative

The second season of the animated series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will adopt a new narrative structure, moving away from the direct story of David and Lucy to explore the world of Night City through multiple perspectives. Writer and producer Bartosz Sztybor has compared the upcoming storytelling approach to Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Pulp Fiction’, featuring six to eight central characters whose independent storylines will eventually intersect and influence one another.

A new teaser titled ‘Something Real’ has been released by Netflix, showcasing a distinct visual style. The footage utilizes a point-of-view perspective through the lens of a young boy’s camera, employing a retro VHS aesthetic reminiscent of classic anime like ‘Ghost in the Shell’. This new season will not be a direct continuation of the previous characters' journey but will introduce new protagonists, including a veteran Edgerunner named Weak.
