Cycling events announced in Czech Republic and Slovakia

Several cycling and outdoor events are scheduled for mid-August. In Slovakia, the inaugural Pálffyho cesta will begin on August 16. The event features a cycling route from Malacky to Vývrat, followed by a hiking ascent to the summit of Vysoká. The route is designed to be accessible for recreational cyclists and families, connecting historical paths once used by Count Pálffy.

In the Czech Republic, the Czech Tour 2026 is set to begin on August 13, starting from Vítězné náměstí in Prague. This edition marks a significant milestone as the race joins the UCI ProSeries, the second-highest global cycling category. The competition will cover nearly 650 km with approximately 10,000 meters of elevation gain, featuring over 120 riders from 18 teams, including WorldTour professionals.
