Cycling Relay Honors 1980 Bologna Train Station Bombing Victims Across Italy

A national cycling relay called “Insieme per non dimenticare il 2 agosto 1980” will travel from the Brenner Pass to Bologna to commemorate the 85 victims of the 1980 train‑station bombing and all victims of terrorism. The relay begins on 27 July in the Brenner, passes through Bolzano, Trento, Domegliara, Ostiglia, and reaches Calderara di Reno on 31 July, where participants will arrive around 18:15 in Piazza Marconi. The event concludes on 2 August with a final ceremony in Bologna.

Organised by the Circolo Naturalistico Novese, ANPI’s Novi di Modena section and supported by local municipalities and the Association of Victims’ Families, the relay aims to keep the memory of the tragedy alive for younger generations and reinforce a message of solidarity against terrorism.
