Multiple fatal accidents reported in sports and traffic incidents

Multiple fatal incidents involving sports and traffic accidents have been reported across several regions. In Spain, the Vuelta a Soria Máster was suspended following the death of 58-year-old cyclist Francisco Javier Simón, who died after a collision during an individual time trial in Talveila.

In Ecuador, authorities located a vehicle in Colimes linked to the fatal hit-and-run of marathon runner Mónica Andrea Martinich, who was killed while training in Samborondón. Two individuals have been detained while the driver remains at large.

In Paraguay, a teacher, María Victoria Ramírez, died in Ciudad del Este after suffering a sudden medical emergency. Due to a reported lack of response from emergency services, colleagues had to transport her in the bed of a pickup truck to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Various other fatalities occurred in Argentina, including a 74-year-old man during a Newcom competition in Saladillo, a 43-year-old amateur footballer in Córdoba, and a 70-year-old cyclist in Tucumán. Other reported deaths include a 65-year-old cyclist struck by a vehicle in City Bell and a 40-year-old woman hit by a car in Puerto Madryn while cycling to work.
