Cyprus police arrest four in burglary probes across three districts

The Cyprus Police arrested four suspects linked to burglary and theft investigations that occurred between March and June 2026 in the districts of Ammochostos, Paphos and Lemesos.

Two 49‑year‑old men were detained in Agia Napa after a citizen tip led officers to discover jewelry and collectible coins in their possession that they could not lawfully explain. The items were identified as stolen from the house where the men had previously entered.

A 43‑year‑old man was arrested in Paphos on a court warrant and is expected to appear before the Paphos District Court for a personal detention order. A 26‑year‑old woman was taken into custody in the Lemesos district after a burglary on 26 June 2026 and will also appear before the Lemesos District Court.

Investigations remain ongoing at the respective police stations.
