Cyprus Police conduct nationwide operations with nine arrests

The Cyprus Police conducted widespread preventive operations across the country, resulting in nine arrests and 372 total complaints. The enforcement actions targeted various offenses, including illegal stay in the Republic, dangerous driving, possession of burglary tools, drug possession, and an attack on a police officer.

During the operations, authorities inspected 596 drivers and 144 passengers, along with 51 premises. Traffic enforcement led to 370 complaints, including 122 cases of speeding, and the impoundment of 19 vehicles. Additionally, 100 alcohol tests were performed, resulting in five offenses, while five drivers tested positive in preliminary drug tests.
