Cyprus Police conduct nationwide operations resulting in 13 arrests

The Cyprus Police carried out organized patrols across urban areas nationwide to prevent crime and ensure public order. The operations resulted in the arrest of 13 individuals for various offenses, including illegal drug possession, building burglary, theft, possession of burglary tools, illegal stay in the Republic, and driving under the influence of alcohol.

During the night, officers inspected 700 vehicles and 981 occupants. Traffic controls led to 281 citations, with 127 specifically for speeding and 20 for driving under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, three cases of driving under the influence of drugs were identified. The police also conducted 97 inspections of establishments, resulting in 13 complaints, and seized 15 vehicles.
