Police in Cyprus conducted large-scale, simultaneous security and traffic inspections across Nicosia and Iskele. The operations targeted entertainment venues, nightclubs, cafes, and high-traffic public areas to maintain public order and prevent crime.

In Nicosia, authorities arrested five individuals for offenses including drug possession, theft, and illegal residency. Traffic units inspected over 2,190 vehicles, resulting in 438 reports for various violations, such as speeding, driving under the influence, and driving without insurance. Additionally, 29 individuals were fined for being in casinos despite being prohibited from entry.

In Iskele, inspections led to the arrest of one individual found in possession of cannabis. Traffic checks in the area resulted in 174 reports for various offenses and the impounding of one vehicle. Overall, the coordinated efforts involved checking hundreds of people and vehicles to enhance public safety and deter criminal activity.
