Cyprus Police conduct widespread patrols and arrests

The Cyprus Police conducted widespread organized patrols across urban areas to prevent serious crime and ensure public order. These preventive operations resulted in the arrest of three individuals for various offenses, including illegal stay in the Republic of Cyprus and obtaining goods through false pretenses.

During the night, authorities stopped 483 vehicles and inspected 655 occupants. Traffic enforcement led to 300 citations, with 115 specifically for speeding, and nine cases under investigation. Additionally, seven vehicles were impounded, five alcohol-related citations were issued, and one preliminary drug test returned a positive result. The police also conducted 35 inspections of establishments, resulting in two complaints.
