Cyprus Police seek suspects after attack at Nea Salamis event

The Cyprus Police have released video footage and photographs of individuals suspected of participating in an attack during a Nea Salamis entertainment event. The incident occurred between August 23 and 24, 2026, at the auxiliary field of the Ammochostos Stadium.

According to investigators, approximately 30 individuals approached and attacked attendees with sticks around midnight. The assault resulted in injuries to three men, aged 21, 23, and 28. Two of the victims, aged 23 and 28, received treatment at the Larnaca General Hospital for injuries to the hand and head before being discharged.

The police are investigating several offenses, including causing grievous bodily harm, rioting, affray, assault, and the use of dangerous weapons. Authorities are requesting that anyone with information regarding the identification or location of the suspects contact the Larnaca Police Station or the Citizen Line at 1460.
