Cyprus recalls dozens of vehicle models over fire and injury risks

The Cyprus Department of Road Transport has issued a safety alert urging the recall of several vehicle models due to the risk of fire or injury. The warning covers the Eura Mobil Xtura motorhome truck, the Ligier Myli/JS50 quadricycle and the Nissan Qashqai passenger car for fire hazards, and a range of passenger cars—including Skoda Fabia, Rapid, Yeti, Octavia, Superb, Citigo, Kodiaq, Roomster, Honda Odyssey, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Renault Austral, BMW Series 1 and 3, Dacia Duster III and Bigster—and trucks such as Ford Ranger and Mercedes‑Benz UNIMOG for injury hazards. It also lists a specific Yokohama tyre and an ISOFIX anchorage system as risky components.

Manufacturers, importers, distributors and sellers are instructed to withdraw the affected products from the Cypriot market and to inform the department of the actions taken. Consumers who own any of the listed vehicles or components are advised to contact the respective manufacturers or dealers for guidance and to stop using the items immediately, returning them to the point of purchase where feasible.
