Cyril Féraud heads new Fort Boyard 2026 season on France 2
France 2 will launch the 2026 edition of the adventure game show Fort Boyard on Saturday 4 July, with veteran presenter Cyril Féraud taking over from Olivier Minne after 22 years. The new season introduces several collective challenges—such as a 25‑metre bike jump, a sliding staircase and a “times forts” bonus round that can award up to €10 000 before contestants reach the treasure room. A new character, the Amiral, and renovated set elements also feature.
The first episode will pair anonymous contestants with celebrities including Bruno Solo, Isabelle Vitari, swimmer Camille Lacourt, singer‑actor Bastiaan, judoka Shirine Boukli and others, all playing for the ONU Femmes France charity. To accommodate the 2022 World Cup coverage, France 2 has moved the show’s start time to 20:50 for the first three episodes, after which it will revert to its regular slot.
Féraud has spoken about the personal significance of the role, noting it fulfills a childhood dream while also reminding him of the loss of his father, who never saw him host the iconic program.
