Czech amateur clubs Všestudy and Zlechov celebrate anniversaries amid relegations
In the Mělnicko region, Všestudy marked the 100th anniversary of its football club Viktoria with a weekend of matches on 13‑14 June, including a league duel against Obříství and a celebratory exhibition against a team of club legends. The festivities were intended to crown a century of local football activity while the club continued its campaign in the 8th league.
Zlechov commemorated its 80th year of existence on 27 June, but the celebration was marred by a 3‑2 defeat to Koryčany and a subsequent 1‑1 draw with Vlčnov that sealed the team’s relegation to the district level. Coach Libor Matoušek, who announced his resignation, said, "Zklamání je obrovské. Všechny nás to hodně mrzí," adding, "Je to obrovská škoda, sestoupit jsme nemuseli." The club’s relegation and the coach’s departure dominate the otherwise festive milestone.
