Czech architecture and urban development updates

The 16th annual Architecture Day festival is scheduled to take place from October 1 to October 6. Under the motto ‘I live, therefore I am’, this year’s program focuses on housing as a critical societal issue, exploring themes of urbanism, housing policy, and the search for sustainable and affordable living. The festival includes guided walks and events across various Czech locations, including Bílina, Most, Louny, Litvínov, Lom, and Žatce, covering topics from historical worker colonies to modern architectural works.

In Brno, the construction of the T Aréna, a major multifunctional arena, is nearing completion. The facility, located at the Brno exhibition grounds, is expected to be handed over for use on October 25. The arena is designed to accommodate approximately 13,000 spectators and features modern technological infrastructure, including VIP skyboxes, a press center, and a director's center for managing audiovisual displays. T-Mobile has coordinated the digital networking for the entire venue.
