Czech cities host major regional sports festivals

Major regional sports festivals are taking place in the Czech Republic. In Plzeň, the Sportmanie event has transformed the park behind Plazou into a large-scale sports playground. Running until August 23, the event features nearly fifty sports and entertainment stations hosted by approximately one hundred clubs and associations. Activities include parachute jumps, exhibitions by top athletes, and new sports such as padel and beach handball. Children under 15 can participate in various disciplines to earn medals.

Meanwhile, Pardubice recently concluded the tenth anniversary of its Sportovní park. Despite high temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, the event drew over 100,000 visitors to the Na Špici park and Automatické mlýny. The festival featured appearances by prominent athletes, most notably two-time Olympic judo champion Lukáš Krpálek, alongside local hockey, basketball, and football players.
