Czech cities implement urban mobility updates and transit technology

In Prague, the Prague Integrated Transport (PID) and the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) are implementing updates to the metro's information panels. Following passenger feedback, the new system features higher-contrast graphics and clearer line designations. Additionally, authorities are testing extended countdown timers on selected stations to ensure passengers can see the arrival time of the next train even while moving up escalators, rather than the timer disappearing too early.

Meanwhile, in Třebíč, an exhibition titled ‘Living Cities of the Future’ is being hosted at the town hall. Developed in collaboration with the Ministry for Regional Development and the Partnership for Urban Mobility, the exhibition explores modern urbanism and transport planning. It focuses on three pillars: politics and mobility, shared public spaces, and sustainable mobility options such as cycling and pedestrian infrastructure.
