Czech cities launch new interactive and community playground projects

New interactive and community-focused recreational projects are launching in Czech cities. In České Budějovice, the CBiHřiště project is set to begin in September. This initiative uses a mobile application and Bluetooth technology to turn city walks into adventures. Participants can find 60 designated points throughout the city to complete tasks and quizzes without needing an internet connection. The project, supported by partners such as ČEVAK, includes themes like water conservation and local history.

In Zlín, a temporary adventure playground is being established on the site of the former Smolí město. Following the Adventure Playgrounds concept, children are encouraged to build their own structures, such as bunkers or obstacle courses, using materials like pallets and pipes. The project aims to promote upcycling, manual skills, and social interaction while the site awaits the development of the re:public cultural center.
