Czech cities suspend tram service in summer for bridge and track maintenance

In Olomouc, tram operations will be halted from 9 August to 31 August 2026 on the stretch between Hlavní nádraží, Fibichova and Pavlovičky while switch gear and tracks are replaced. The main station stop will be closed and replaced by a temporary stop called Kosmonautů, and replacement bus service (designated X) will serve affected routes.

In Prague, additional tram disruptions begin on 18 July 2026 and continue through August as the city repairs the Legián bridge on the Lazarská line and the Hlávkov bridge on the Vltavská Týňová line. Service on lines 2, 4, 5, 9, 18, 22, 23, 42, 93, 97, 98 and 99 will be suspended, with temporary routes 32 and 39 introduced and a night‑stop moved to Karlovo náměstí. Replacement bus services will cover the closed sections.
