Czech football clubs Slavoj Úštěk and Malečov celebrate 80‑year milestones

Slavoj Úštěk marked its 80th anniversary by unveiling a new clubhouse and changing‑room complex. The old, dilapidated facilities were replaced with a modern building on the opposite side of the pitch. Club chairman Rudolf Rešl and Úštěk mayor Ondřej Elísek cut the ceremonial ribbon, saying the new cabins will serve the club for another 80 years.

Meanwhile, FK Malečov also commemorated 80 years with a multi‑match tournament. The event featured matches between Malečov’s senior side, a veteran squad of FK Teplice and other regional teams. FK Teplice’s veteran team won the final 5‑4, while Malečov secured third place after a penalty shoot‑out. The tournament highlighted several high‑scoring games and individual performances, including Pavel Giňa’s four goals for Teplice.

Both celebrations underscore the importance of local football heritage in the Czech Republic.
