Czech cultural institutions host events to mark Czechoslovak independence
Various cultural institutions in the Czech Republic are organizing events to commemorate the founding of independent Czechoslovakia.
Slovácké divadlo is hosting a special immersive program titled ‘S Masarykem ke vzniku Československa’ on October 25, allowing participants to experience historical moments from the life of Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk. Additionally, the musical ‘Masaryk’, directed by Dodo Gombár, will conclude its run in November.
In the Central Bohemian Region, the celebration of Central Bohemian Region Day coincides with the anniversary of Czechoslovak independence on October 28. Numerous museums, galleries, and monuments—including the T. G. Masaryk Memorial in Lány and the Czech Museum of Silver in Kutná Hora—will offer free admission or symbolic entry fees of one koruna. The regional celebrations include guided tours, exhibitions, and thematic programs designed to highlight the history and personalities that shaped the state.
