Czech emergency services conduct school active shooter drill
Emergency services in the Czech Republic conducted a large-scale tactical exercise at the Straškov-Vodochody Elementary School on October 15. The drill, organized by the Litoměřice Regional Department of the Police of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Integrated Rescue System (IZS), focused on managing an ‘AMOK’ type event, simulating an attack by an armed perpetrator in a school setting.
The exercise involved over 100 participants, including 63 members of the IZS—such as police and paramedics—and 45 volunteers and actors from the school and local community. The simulation tested response times, tactical communication, the neutralization of a threat, and the subsequent evacuation and first aid for injured persons.
