Czech clubs overhaul squads and coaching staff ahead of new season

Several Czech football clubs announced significant player signings as the summer transfer window opens. FC Baník Ostrava added Cameroonian midfielder Roan Noghase on a three‑year deal and Slovak right‑back Matúš Kmeť, while Hradec Králové extended striker Ondřej Mihálik until 2029. Bayern Munich secured Moroccan forward Ismaïla Saïbari from PSV, and Chelsea completed the signing of Italian defender Marco Palestri.

In the Karlovarský region, Cheb’s Hvězda made a notable move by acquiring six players from Olympie Březová, including Filip Berka and Pavel Veselý. Other regional clubs such as Loket, Nové Hamry and Merklín also listed multiple transfers.

The league’s schedule faced a clash after Artis and Zbrojovka were both drawn to play home matches at the same venue on three occasions; the federation asked the clubs to resolve the conflict themselves.

Coaching changes were widespread. Petr Vanko left Tempo to take charge of third‑league side Neratovice, with Petr Suchan stepping in at Tempo. Roman Bednář was appointed head coach of Vyšehrad, and Jan Rajnoch became the sporting director there. Additional appointments included Lukáš Stříteský at Admira’s senior team and Jan Novák at Třeboradice.
