MOL Cup results feature upsets and favorite victories

The first round of the MOL Cup in Czech football saw several notable results, including significant upsets and dominant performances by favorites.

In a major upset, FK Baník Sokolov defeated the second-division side FK Arsenal Česká Lípa 3-1. Despite Arsenal being the paper favorite, Sokolov took the lead twice and secured the win with a late goal by Jakub Hora.

Additionally, Příbram secured a 2-0 win over Strakonice, aided by two goals from teenager Desouza Apea, despite playing with ten men for much of the match.
