Czech government approves Business Package to reduce bureaucracy

The Czech government has approved the Business Package, an initiative by the Ministry of Industry and Trade designed to reduce the administrative burden on companies and self-employed individuals. The package includes 11 specific measures, such as the digitalization of state administration, simplified payments, improved coordination of inspections, and reduced bureaucracy in the energy sector.

Key components include the legislative anchoring of the Entrepreneur Portal to centralize public services, and the integration of information systems from tax authorities and health insurance companies. Additionally, the Unified Inspection Evidence Portal (JePEK) will be introduced to coordinate inspections and share results between authorities, with a pilot launch planned for the first half of 2027. Implementation of the measures is scheduled to be completed by September 30, 2027.
