Czech Government approves National Climate Adaptation Plan

The Czech government has approved the ‘National Action Plan for Climate Change Adaptation for the period 2026–2030’. The plan involves a significant financial commitment, with the state expected to provide 34 billion CZK over five years, supplemented by an additional 49 billion CZK in European funds.

The approval of the document was noted for its low public profile, occurring alongside discussions regarding the 2027 budget. The plan aims to address long-term environmental challenges, including heat and drought, through measures such as urban cooling infrastructure.
