Czech health experts advise summer hydration and skin care
Health guidance issued in the Czech Republic stresses the importance of a proper drinking regime during hot weather. Plain water is recommended as the primary fluid, with options such as lightly chilled water, mineral water containing natural electrolytes, and unsweetened herbal teas to replace lost sodium, potassium and magnesium. Fruit and vegetables with high water content—like watermelon, cucumber, oranges and berries—can also contribute to hydration, while sugary sodas, concentrated juices, energy drinks, alcohol and excessive coffee are discouraged because they increase fluid loss or cause energy spikes.
For skin health, the advice recommends regular moisturizing and using gentle, non‑comedogenic products, especially when exposure to sun and heat can dehydrate the outer layer. Monitoring urine colour and keeping a water bottle visible are suggested as practical habits to maintain adequate fluid intake throughout the day.
