Czech highways D5 and Zlín roadwork cause major traffic delays

A truck accident on the D5 motorway near Benešov forced the closure of the lane toward Germany. The incident, occurring around the 122 km mark, halted traffic and required a detour via exit 119, with expected cleanup extending into the afternoon.

In the city of Zlín, road crews began repairs on the main carriageway, leading to kilometre‑long queues as drivers waited for the work to finish. Both disruptions have resulted in significant delays for motorists across the Czech Republic.
