Czech football clubs report injury, cup win and club developments

Striker Filip Večeřa of Zbrojovka Brno suffered a ankle injury during a summer training camp in Austria and was operated on at a specialist clinic in Barcelona. He will miss the opening league match against Sparta Prague and is expected to return to training in the autumn.

The sixth edition of the regional Soccer Cup concluded with FC Úhoři Krutěnice claiming the title after a penalty shoot‑out win over Vocamcaď Pocamcaď. Nine teams contested the tournament in Koutě on the Šumava.

In a pre‑season friendly, Frenštát defeated Kopřivnice 3–1, with Jakub Panák – brother of Sparta defender Filip – scoring the opening goal.

Poříčany drew 3–3 with Vyžlovka in the 5th‑league match, fielding four newcomers despite more than ten absentees and scoring three goals from set‑piece situations.

Baník Ostrava owner Václav Brabec told a fan panel that no negotiations have taken place regarding a sale of the club. He highlighted that the club has spent roughly 300 million CZK on player transfers in the past ten months and addressed criticism over limited squad strengthening.

Forward Filip Vecheta, on loan at Jablonec, expressed satisfaction with his integration into the team ahead of the Conference League qualifiers, noting the move offers him a chance to showcase his abilities after a difficult previous season.
