Czech MP Filip Turek faces police scrutiny over high‑speed video and recent crash
The Prague police are investigating Czech MP Filip Turek after a 2021 video showed him driving at an average speed of 60 km/h on a route with several sharp turns near the Strahov stadium, and earlier recordings captured him reaching around 200 km/h in a Porsche near Ostrava. A photo of his tachometer taken on the Czech side of the D5 highway was also cited. The latest incident involved Turek in a collision on the Prague highway that damaged an ambulance transporting blood.
Singer Petr Janda, recalling his own minor traffic accident, commented on Turek’s behavior, noting that his own crash caused no serious damage and only resulted in a fine. Janda’s remarks were published in an interview with eXtra.cz.
