Czech police crackdown reveals drivers under influence and without licenses

Police patrols in the Czech Republic’s Plzeň and Rokycany regions conducted routine traffic checks that uncovered numerous serious offences. Drivers were found with blood‑alcohol levels above the zero‑tolerance limit – for example, one driver in Liblín recorded over 0.3 ‰ and another in Tachov exceeded 2 ‰. Drug tests also returned positive results, including amphetamines/metamfetamine and THC.

Authorities also identified cases of driving while barred from holding a licence, operating vehicles without valid technical inspections or compulsory insurance, and an e‑scooter classified as a motor vehicle being ridden without the required AM licence. Each incident was reported to the relevant administrative bodies for further action, and police continue to investigate the violations.
