Czech political landscape: New TV format and shifting poll numbers

Czech Television has introduced a new program format, ‘Nedělní debata’, designed to combine political discussion with expert analysis. While media analyst Jan Potůček praised the inclusion of experts to evaluate the truthfulness of politicians' claims, he criticized the technical execution. Specifically, he noted that excessive graphic elements and multiple information bars can clutter the screen and distract viewers from the speakers.

In parallel, new election modeling from Kantar for Czech Television shows shifts in political preferences. The ANO movement currently leads with 30.5 percent of the vote, a four-point decrease from previous results. The STAN movement is noted as the only former coalition party to show growth, while the Starostové and ODS follow in second and third place, respectively. Political scientist Vladimíra Dvořáková observed that while ANO's decline is not necessarily dramatic, the stagnation suggests the party is maintaining its current level rather than growing.
