Czech political leaders signal reluctance toward ANO cooperation

Czech political leaders are signaling diverging paths regarding potential cooperation with the ANO movement. Karel Havlíček, Vice-Chairman of ANO and Minister of Industry and Trade, has ruled out future coalition cooperation with the Christian Democrats (KDU-ČSL). He stated that ANO views current government allies, such as SPD and Motorists, as closer partners due to shared views on economy, energy, migration, and climate policy.

In contrast, Vít Rakušan, chairman of the STAN party, advised his local organizations against cooperating with ANO, though he noted he would not forbid it. Rakušan emphasized the need to appeal to voters and noted that while ANO remains a dominant force in polls, he has observed growing doubts among some ANO supporters regarding unfulfilled promises. Recent polling indicates ANO leads with 28.9 percent support, followed by STAN at 11.3 percent and ODS at 9.8 percent.
