Czech Railways launches discounted summer ticket for seniors

From 15 June, Czech Railways (ČD) introduced a special summer fare that offers unlimited travel for seven days at 695 CZK, with a cheaper 14‑day option also available. The promotion targets seniors over 65, as well as children, students, and third‑degree disabled passengers, aiming to boost ridership during the holiday period. By lowering ticket prices, ČD hopes to encourage more travel among older adults and families, supporting domestic tourism and easing the cost burden for frequent travelers.

The discounted tickets can be purchased at ticket counters, via the My Train mobile app, or online, and are valid on all routes across the Czech Republic for the duration of the summer vacation period.
