Czech Railways to suspend Kolín‑Pardubice line for July upgrades

The Czech Railways (ČD) will carry out maintenance work on the Kolín‑Pardubice corridor in July. The first stage begins on Sunday 5 July, closing the track between Kolín and Řečany nad Labem until 21 July, and the second stage extends the closure to Přelouč from 22 July through the end of the month. Work will be performed on a single track, with rail replacement, grinding and alignment adjustments.

During the closures regional ČD trains will be replaced by buses on three substituted S10 routes, and long‑distance services may experience delays of up to 15 minutes. Passengers are advised to monitor delay information and coordinate transfers with railway staff. Bus services will allow limited stroller and bicycle transport, and capacity may be reached quickly. The operator also warned that high summer temperatures can affect train climate control, occasionally leading to temporary loss of air‑conditioning on electric units.
