Czech Republic braces for sharp temperature swing and rising cooling demand

A rapid weather shift is forecast for the Czech Republic, with temperatures expected to drop as much as ten degrees Celsius over the upcoming weekend.

The abrupt change and ongoing heat spikes are increasing household electricity consumption for cooling. Energy‑efficient solutions from DZ Dražice, part of the NIBE group, are being promoted, including split‑type air‑conditioners and air‑to‑water heat pumps that can both cool and heat indoor spaces while meeting A++ efficiency standards.
