Czech Republic gas storage levels sufficient despite price warnings
Czech Industry and Trade Minister Karel Havlíček stated that while gas availability for the upcoming heating season is sufficient, rushed purchasing could lead to higher prices next year. He noted that the Czech Republic is among the top seven EU nations regarding gas storage levels, with a target of 70% occupancy by September 1, exceeding the required 60%.
Former MP Ivan Adamec expressed concerns regarding energy security, noting that while current markets appear stable, potential issues with electricity supply and energy raw materials could arise. He highlighted that Germany has reported lower gas storage levels compared to the Czech Republic.
