Czech Republic leads global beer consumption for 32nd consecutive year

According to the 2024 Kirin Holdings Global Beer Consumption Report, the Czech Republic remains the world leader in per capita beer consumption, recording 148.8 liters. This marks the 32nd consecutive year the nation has held the top position since 1993.

The top five rankings remain unchanged from the previous year, consisting of the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Austria, Ireland, and Croatia. Notable shifts in the rankings include Slovenia rising from tenth to eighth place, while Germany dropped from eighth to tenth.

In Japan, per capita consumption reached 33.7 liters, representing a decrease of approximately 1.2 bottles (633 ml size) compared to the prior year. The report also highlights that Italy is absent from the top 20 and does not appear within the top 34 ranked countries.
