Czech Republic records first tropical night of year and faces upcoming rainstorm wave

Meteorologists in Prague's historic Klementinum observed the country's first tropical night of the year, with temperatures reaching 20.1 °C.

A subsequent forecast from the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute predicts a wave of rain and thunderstorms across most of the Czech Republic over the next few days. Expected precipitation may reach up to 25 mm in Moravia and Silesia, with daily highs between 14 °C and 22 °C and occasional thunderstorms, especially in the north‑west and mountainous areas.
