Czech Republic road closures affect D5 motorway and regional transport

Multiple road and motorway closures are affecting various regions in the Czech Republic. On the D5 motorway between Plzeň and Rozvadov, a six-kilometer section between Nýřany and Sulkovec is undergoing reconstruction. The project, awarded to Skanska for 667.51 million CZK (excluding VAT), involves replacing 30-year-old concrete surfaces that have reached the end of their service life due to heavy traffic. During the works, traffic will be diverted into a single lane.

In other regions, several local road closures are in effect. In Havlíčkův Brod, Okrouhlická Street is closed for sewage construction, necessitating detours for vehicles under 3.5 tons and longer routes for heavy transport. In Habry, bus routes 172, 224, 225, 227, 228, 229, 230, and 243 are being rerouted, with some stops being temporarily unserved. Additionally, road closures and detours are impacting Přibyslav due to local festivities, as well as areas near Světlá nad Sázavou and Libice nad Doubravou due to ongoing infrastructure repairs.
