Czech Republic road projects trigger closures on II/432 and I/9 routes

Beginning in mid‑June, the regional road authority will rebuild a small bridge on the II/432 corridor between Koryčany and Jestřabice. The work involves dismantling the existing structure, inserting a 1‑metre concrete pipe and resurfacing the adjoining 36 metre stretch. Partial and full traffic closures are scheduled through August, with alternating‑lane traffic during partial closures and a full detour in July. The contractor is Vodohospodářské stavby Javorník‑CZ, and the project cost exceeds 2.5 million CZK.

On 1 June, a new segment of the Česká Lípa bypass on road I/9 was opened. The 1.5 km stretch, linking Dubice and Dolní Libchava, includes six bridges, two round‑about interchanges and sound‑proof walls. The construction, funded in part by European Union sources, cost about 625 million CZK. It is intended to divert transit traffic away from the town centre, improving flow on the major I/9 corridor.
