Czech Republic schedules multiple road closures in 2026
The Zlín Region will close the road between Ludkovice and Řetechov (III/49025) from late July until the end of November 2026 to repair an unstable slope. A concrete retaining wall, new pavement and full reconstruction of the most damaged section will be installed by the construction firm KKS at a cost of about CZK 6.4 million. Drivers are required to use a detour through the nearby municipality of Pozlovice.
In the Moravian‑Silesian Region, police have announced a two‑stage partial closure of the I/11 highway on Rudná Street in Ostrava for 1–20 August 2026. The first stage blocks the left lane, the second blocks the right lane, with traffic redirected to opposite lanes in both phases. The closures are expected to cause congestion, and motorists are advised to consider alternative routes.
