Czech Republic sees mixed rain and rising weekend temps as heat advisory for outdoor sport issued

The Czech hydrometeorological service forecast a transition from scattered showers and occasional thunderstorms on Thursday to largely clear skies over the weekend, with daytime highs returning to around 25 °C. Temperatures on Thursday are expected between 23 °C and 28 °C, cooling to 16 °C‑21 °C on Friday before a colder Saturday morning of 7 °C‑11 °C, rising to 20 °C‑24 °C in the afternoon.

Health experts warn that exercising outdoors in such heat stresses the body: heart rate rises, blood is diverted to the skin, and dehydration risk increases. They recommend training early in the morning or after sunset, staying well‑hydrated before and during activity, using electrolyte drinks for sessions longer than an hour, and wearing light, breathable clothing. Gradual exposure over ten days can improve heat tolerance, a process known as heat acclimatization.
