Czech Republic to see warmer mid‑May weather with possible thunderstorms

The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute forecasts a shift from a cold start to the week, with Monday morning temperatures expected to drop to 0‑5 °C and occasional frost in some areas. During the day, temperatures will rise to 16‑21 °C, and by the end of the week daytime highs are projected to reach 20‑26 °C, with regional differences of up to 22 °C.

The forecast also calls for variable cloud cover, scattered showers and occasional thunderstorms, particularly in the eastern and northeastern parts of the country. A high‑pressure system over north‑west Europe may bring localized showers and storms over the weekend, while the western Czech lands are expected to stay mostly dry and become significantly warmer, especially in South Moravia.
