Czech road projects feature a lifting bridge in Třebíč and a new bridge in Čeminy

The planned bypass around Třebíč will include a unique lifting bridge near the Poliklinika Vltavínská. Designed to accommodate oversized components for the Dukovany nuclear power plant, the metal bridge can be raised and lowered on four pylons using hydraulic presses. Regional road authority spokesperson Luděk Hubáček explained that the bridge "will be permanently installed and lifted by presses at the four corners" to allow large loads to pass without the need for a crane. The bypass also includes a tunnel over nine metres high for similar oversized traffic.

In the Plzeňský region, the Správa a údržba silnic Plzeňského kraje (SÚSPK) has begun rebuilding the deteriorated bridge in the village of Čeminy. The new structure will replace the ageing bridge over the Čemínský potok on the important II/180 road, adding a full pedestrian walkway. Technical director Martin Vít noted that the new bridge will offer "higher safety, sufficient load capacity, and more comfortable movement for pedestrians." Demolition of the old bridge is slated to start on 15 June, with completion targeted for 30 November 2026.
